Hey, I'm Loki.

I'm an entrepreneur, physicist, engineer, and Jiu Jitsu black belt. After years of working in tech and solving business problems, I realized what I really want to do is give back. Today, I’m exploring ways to bring Jiu Jitsu and philanthropy together.

Cigar Grip Seminar

I taught a free seminar at Pura Vida Fighting for Kids in Jacó, Costa Rica — a nonprofit doing incredible work with local youth. We filmed the session and edited it down to share here.I hope you enjoy it, I hope you learn something, and I hope you’ll consider supporting this amazing organization.

Private BJJ Retreats

I also host private Jiu Jitsu retreats here in Costa Rica. It’s not a resort package or some commercial camp. I actually live here, so when you come down I can take you to the places I go myself — the waterfalls tucked away in the jungle, the beaches without crowds, the little restaurants that serve real local food. The training can be as serious as you like, but the days are simple. We roll, we eat, we get outside. You’ll see monkeys in the trees, scarlet macaws flying over, maybe even a sloth if we’re lucky. That’s just what life looks like here.Every retreat also gives back. Your spot covers a year of training for a kid through Guardian Academy, a nonprofit that runs free Jiu Jitsu programs around the world for kids who need a safe place to grow.If you’re curious, hit me up on Instagram @nogiloki.
